Dr. Shoshana Linzer is a licensed psychologist in the states of Florida and New York. She earned her Doctorate in clinical psychology at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology in New York.
At the Miami psychology Group, Dr. Linzer works with individuals and couples. She sees individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship dynamics, life transitions, work-life balance, emotional regulation, post-partum changes and fertility, chronic health issues, among other mental health concerns. As a therapist, she takes an active approach to reduce immediate distress while creating space for long-term change. She considers the relationship between the client and therapist as one of the most important aspects of treatment and works to facilitate an open and non-judgmental environment.
Her training has been with adults of all ages, and from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and clinical presentations. She has practiced in diverse settings. She has experience working in colleges, outpatient, inpatient and partial hospitalization settings. Some of her specialized training targets helping individuals challenged with eating disorders and severe and persistent mental illnesses. In a private practice setting, Dr. Linzer has assisted in diagnosing and treating diverse mental health presentations and has worked individuals and couples with daily stressors, communication and trust issues.
